A good laugh at my dolls' expense...

Instead of me driving home for the weekend, as I usually do, my spoose came up to Walnut Creek to visit the local sites. After spending the night in the cottage, she commented this morning that it was sleeping with Chucky's harem, "all those beady eyes staring at you all night long..."

At home, all of the dolls are in my office, not in our bedroom. In the one room cottage, there are 28 dolls standing around on just about every flat surface that touches the walls.

Oh how funny! My sons have made comments about those "beady eyes" too. On more than one occasion, I've entered the room to find all the doll heads turned completely backward so the back of the head is facing forward. The boys don't mind bodies topped with lots of hair, it's just the eyes that get to them.

That is funny! My friends feel the same way when they visit! They ask me, "How do you sleep at night, all those dolls staring at you?" It makes me laugh, to others they are creepy, but to me they are family! I love my dolls!

Taffy, that's so funny! I know the cottage must be awesome for you to have those "beady eyes" always watching. Sometimes the spouses just don't get it! Any chance your wife will ever come to love dolls herself?

My husband makes similiar comments but all in good fun. We love to pick on Josefina. I will have just turned out the light for us to go to bed and all of a sudden I hear a drawer open, the rummaging noises, the drawer closes and then the sound of pitter-pattering feet. All of this is my husband's doing of course but he swears that Josefina is up to know good at night. The little imp!
